NHL Coyotes Coach Runs Firebirds Practice
What do you do if you're an NHL Coach but you're team is locked out during the current labor negotiations? If you're Phoenix Coyotes Coach Rick Bowness you give back to your community and help young hockey stars get to the next level. That's exactly what Coach Bowness did this weekend when he donated his time to help the Phoenix Firebirds Bantam team. At the October 31st practice the young Firebirds were shocked when Coach Bowness suddenly appeared in their locker room just before the start of practice and announced "Hey guys ready to work? I'm running the practice today!". "We really appreciated Rick giving of his time so generously. Any time our kids can benefit from guest instruction it's a big plus for the kids" said Firebirds Head Coach Kenny Moffatt.
